چکیده
5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) is an endogenous non-protein amino that widely used in medicine, pharmacy products, agriculture, and aquaculture. In this study, the aim to investigate effects of 5-ALA on feeding Pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) with a diet supplemented their growth performance, immune responses, resistance acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) caused by Vibrio paraheamolyticus. Shrimp were fed different diets, including commercial (control) diets 15 ppm (ALA15) 30 (ALA30) for days before bacteria challenge. Anti-lipopolysaccharide factor, crustin, penaeidin3 genes had significantly increased expression level after 5-ALA. The mortality rate L. vannamei decreased V. parahaemolyticus infection. These results indicated enhanced innate response consequently shrimp's pathogen tolerance. Thus, can be as immunostimulant additive cultivation.

Detection of acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) in Mexico.
Acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND), which has also been referred to as early mortality syndrome (EMS), initially emerged as a destructive disease of cultured shrimp species in Asia in 2009. The pathogen associated with the disease, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, subsequently spread to the Western Hemisphere and emerged in Mexico in early 2013. The spread to the Western Hemisphere is a ma...
متن کاملCharacterization and PCR Detection Of Binary, Pir-Like Toxins from Vibrio parahaemolyticus Isolates that Cause Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease (AHPND) in Shrimp
Unique isolates of Vibrio parahaemolyticus (VPAHPND) have previously been identified as the causative agent of acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) in shrimp. AHPND is characterized by massive sloughing of tubule epithelial cells of the hepatopancreas (HP), proposed to be induced by soluble toxins released from VPAHPND that colonize the shrimp stomach. Since these toxins (produced in...

Three different experiments were conducted to study the effect of dietary astaxanthin on the immune response, resistance to white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) and transcription of antioxidant enzyme genes in Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei. Each experiment included one triplicate treatment group (fed with 80 mg/kg astaxanthin supplemented diet) and one triplicate control group (fed with...

متن کاملDraft Genome Sequence of Vibrio owensii Strain SH-14, Which Causes Shrimp Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease
We sequenced Vibrio owensii strain SH-14, which causes serious acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease (AHPND) in shrimp. Sequence analysis showed a large extrachromosomal plasmid, which encoded pir toxin genes and shared highly sequence similarity with the one observed in AHPND-causing Vibrio parahaemolyticus strains. The results suggest that this plasmid appears to play an important role in s...
